PRODUCT REVIEW: Makeup Academy Velvet Luxe Lip Lacquers

Afternoon beauties!!

I had these MUA Velvet Luxe Lip Lacquers few months back and finally I have decided to makea review about them. I am pretty much sure there is a ton of reviews about these MUA lip lacquers. So to top it all off, the review about this product is from my very own experience and my own honest opinion.

I have been eyeing this product ever since and a lot of people have been raving about them that it is supposed to be like Lime Crime Velvetines. So I finally caved in and gave them a try. I got my MUA lip lacquers from Sundance Bazaar from the booth of Props and Tools Cosmetics but the products are from The Makeup Hub. This cost Php 380.00 each. YES! 380.00 pesos only! The Velvetines from lime crime cost Php 950.00 each I guess. Definitely MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers are more affordable than the Lime Crime.

The packaging is so cute and very elegant looking. It has a frosted tube packaging with a doe foot applicator. The doe footed applicator is easy to use with this kind of liquid lipstick although it's hard to control sometimes. If you want a precise and neat application you may want to try to use a fine lipstick brush instead.

Let me show you some swatches.

GLOSSY WHEN APPLIED FIRST
I've fallen head over heels in these velvet lip lacquers! As you can see they're very pigmented which I appreciate at most times in a lip product. It starts off wet looking or glossy once you apply it and dries into a matte velvety finish, just give them a minute to dry out and do not try to smack your lips or they will end up patchy.

DRIES INTO A MATTE VELVETY FINISH
I've fallen head over heels in these velvet lip lacquers! As you can see they're very pigmented which I appreciate at most times in a lip product. The color pay off is remarkably amazing but the long lasting claim is not. I am enjoying these two and I actually regret not getting the other colors. For the price it's already a steal. You'd get a very good amount of product in a tube but It wouldn't last long for me because I keep on retouching as the product fades quite often.

Will I recommend it? Definitely YES. It is worth trying for its price.

I hope you enjoyed reading and find this review helpful. Have you tried any lip lacquers?

LORAC PRO PALETTE REVIEW

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share a review of one of my most-used and abused eyeshadow palette lately, the LORAC Pro Palette. It took me quite a while before getting this product. But as the hype goes on and on about this palette and I have been reading a lot of good reviews about it, I know that it will be a great investment for my professional kit so I had to pick it up. I got this from Beautyholic Manila for Php2, 600.00 aprox $57.77

After playing around with it for almost a month, I wanted to share my own thoughts about this palette. I use this for my clients and even for myself and I have to say that it is one of my favorite palettes that I have in my collection. Let's take a good look of this palette!

Let's start first with the packaging.

This palette has a rubberized slim black packaging the same with NARS cosmetics blushers. It has a large mirror in it that is enough to be usable. The palette is quite thin and travel-friendly; it has a magnetic closure, and comes with mini 0.17 oz Lorac Behind the Scene eyeshadow primer. Eyeshadows are named properly and very useful if you're going to make a tutorial using this palette.

Now, let's take a good look of each eyeshadow shades.

This Lorac Pro palette has 16 shadows mixed of matte and frosted shades which I like in a palette. Top row has matte finish bottom row has semi-frosted finish. These shadows are very pigmented and easy to work with. It feels buttery when you swatch it and colors are very easy to blend.

This palette is one of the most versatile palettes I've ever worked with. Besides the amazing quality, the color selection/finishes are pretty awesome. Other people find that Lorac Pro somehow similar with Naked palette but If you love matte eye shadows and neutral palettes like I do then this Lorac Pro is for you!

Let me show you swatches of each eyeshadow color.

My fave shades in this palette are: Sable, Garnet, Taupe, Mauve, Deep Purple and Pewter and Nude.

So, over all I love this palette more than my Naked 1 & 2. I can create a lot of different looks with this palette. If you want variety of colors and finishes you may want to check this palette out.

Here is an example of "smokey eye look" that I created for my client using Lorac Pro palette. Colors used: Black - Espresso - Sable - Taupe- Cream

Let me also show you some of my creations using this palette.

I hope you find this review helpful the fact that I know there are tons of reviews out there. Hope you had a great day and till my next post!

Huge Makeup Haul!!

Hey ladies! Welcome back to my blog! Today I got a huge haul to share to all of you. I got these babies weeks ago from different stores. Some I got from an online store, some are from Beauty bar and Suesh. So if you are interested to find out what are the new stuff I got for my Professional Makeup Kit then keep on reading. Brace yourselves for a super long post!

Okay, so first I got these Baby wipes and Cotton cloth from Landmark. I personally love this cotton cloth so much that I keep on re-purchasing it. I use it to clean my brushes with a brush cleanser, also great for toners because it doesn't tear or shed any cotton residue to my face
.

I got all of these from Suesh. Disposable Mascara applicator, 10pcs Brush guards, Dual ended cotton tips.

The cotton tips are really helpful though it is quite pricey compare to a normal cotton tips you can found inside the grocery store but still I like that it has a pointy tip and really helpful removing eyeshadows or mascara underneath the eye area or it could even help you applying eyeshadows to the lower lash-line.

Love love love my brush guards! Definitely a must have in every brush kit. I sometimes cut it into two if the brush bristles are not that pretty long.

Next is this Victoria Vogue disposable wedges that I got from Beauty Bar. This cost me Php195.00 (peso) for 32 pcs disposable wedges. I love this brand because the wedges are really great for applying foundation or applying cream highlight and contour, doesn't have any funny smell like the other local brand wedges and it doesn't tear off compare to other local brand sponges.

I got this brush roll and transparent bag from Suesh. I didn't plan to get these two when I visit their store. I was supposed to get a new brush and spatula but it is out of stock so to feed my "makeup artist soul" and was craving for a new toy, I came up getting this brush roll and this bag that is perfect in holding my eyeshadow palettes. I was actually hesitant to get the brush roll because of the leather material. But I realized that I need a brush roll because my brush can
holder doesn't fit my brushes anymore.

I have been eyeing this Nyx HD Foundation because I read some rave reviews about it and it is somehow similar to MUFE HD foundation. I got this from an online store "DESTINY" from facebook for only Php750.00 (peso) each. Which is a lot cheaper compare to it's mall price Php990.00 (peso). Not sure but I know it's Php900.00 plus.

I am loving the sand beige shade which is the same exact shade of my skin. Will definitely do a separate review about this foundation so stay tuned for that!

Evian mineral water facial spray, Olay natural white day cream with UV protection and an  empty spray bottle. I got all of them at Landmark.

Taiwan #217 false eyelashes. I also got these lashes from facebook. I actually got 5 boxes of these lashes but I was able to finish a box with my recent gigs and school then I gave the other box of lashes to my friend. Each box has 10pcs false eyelashes and is made out of natural hair which is awesome! I love these lashes! Cheap but the quality is great!

Artdeco eye makeup remover pads from Beauty Bar and Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder from Beautyholic Manila. Nothing much to say I love the banana powder!

I also got some new brushes from Artist Studio and Marionnaud. I love the N'32 blush brush from Marionnaud it is prefect for contouring and it's soft and affordable!

Then I got this Lorac Pro Palette which is my "new favorite". I got this from Beautyholic Manila for Php2,600.00(peso) I love that it has 16 shades of eyeshadows combination of matte and shimmer.

My favorite shades in the palette are Pewter, Garnet, LT. Bronze, Mauve , Taupe and Cream. I will also do a review about this palette.

Maybeline Great lash mascara is an ultimate favorite of every makeup artist. I got two different shades of it which is Teal Appeal and Limited Edition Blue. I got the limited edition blue months ago and haven't tried using it yet. I also got this in blackest black.  I can use these colors for creative makeup and of course Avant Garde or any Runway look. Flormar Ultra Black Eyeliner is the blackest black eyeliner I have ever tried from the local drugstore. I got this at SM watson and it cost around Php400.00 plus (peso) and it is waterproof too!

What do you think about the mascaras? Aren't they gorgeous!

These are the Shiseido stuff that I got from LUXASIA. Everything is 80% off! I got this offer from LUXASIA and I was able to buy these Shiseido goodies at 200 each. YAY! I haven't tried any Shiseido product yet that's why I didn't go crazing shopping at their factory outlet at BGC Taguig.

Last but not the least are the goodies I got from PAC Cosmetics!

I hope you enjoy reading my very long post. If you have any questions feel free to comment down below. For any business inquiry you may reach me at makeupbyannebismonte@gmail.com. Thank you for reading and till my next blog!
