HOW TO DEPOT LIPSTICKS INTO A PALETTE

Hello there! Sorry for being a MIA these past few weeks as I am totally busy with my school and work and being a mom as well.  So for now, I’m going to share how I depot my lipstick into a small lipstick container.

When I start to collect makeup I am so into lipsticks. I love lipsticks! I have different bunch of colors to different kinds of finishes. But I actually realized that it is kind of annoying not to be able to see the colors or shades of your lipstick – you have to turn them over to read the shade until you find something you’re after – after opening and closing loads of lids of course. But for personal reason putting your lipsticks into a palette is not really advisable as it became not handy or travel friendly anymore. I’m sure that you don’t want to bring your full set of lipsticks with you every day.  But if you are a professional makeup artist and wants to maximize your makeup traincase and wants to put everything organized, you may want to have a lipstick palette.

On my first day to school we have talk about “professional make-up kit”. On how to build and what are the things that a pro needs in her kit. Maybe I will share with you my kit some other time just for you to have an idea what a professional kit has.

Here are the steps:

  1.) Choose your container and your lipstick colors. Be mindful that if you have small containers and you’re going to separate the lipsticks make sure you will group them by colors. All shades of pinks ex.  Light pink to vibrant fuchsia.  Then all shades of red ex.  Deep red to orange-y red. From plums to mauve then your own set of nude colors.  So it will have a gradient look of different shades of a particular color.

 2.) Now, cut the lipstick and put it in a large spoon and melt it in a candle.

3.) Pour the lipstick inside the empty container. (Mine is not tally melted because I will put it              inside the oven)

4.) Clean the edges of the container.

Now, you can stop there. But as you can see, Given that this is my first time to depot my lipsticks I am not satisfied with the look after melting it. So I have decided to put in inside the oven. Now, you can start by just putting it inside the oven, I think it is much easier just be careful with the containers because it is made out of plastic.

    5.) Put the containers inside the oven for 2-3 mins and wait till the lipstick becomes liquid in form.

    6.) Now, it is in liquid form put the lipstick inside the freezer for 10 mins and wait until it becomes solid.

    7.) You can peel the stickers of the lipstick tube and put them in the corresponding lipstick so you would   know what shade it is.

   And there you go! You now have your own lipstick palette.

   For pinks: Mac Candy yum yum -  Mac Chatterbox - Rimmel London Nostalgia

   For reds: Mac Red - Mac Ruby woo - Rimmel London Deep Red

Miss Bella Cosmetics Blush Palette Review!

Hello there! Finally I can now share my own and honest opinion about this palette that I got couple of months ago. To be honest I am really loving this palette although I'm not using it everyday, I've tried using it just to figure out if it is a good buy or not. I am using this for my Makeup Artistry class at Style Studio Fashion and Design School Philippines and no.1 rule being a makeup artist: never ever use your personal makeup and brushes to your clients/models. It is unhygienic. 

YAY! for the bubble wraps!

THE BLUSHES:

I am a huge fan of blushes. For me, it is one of the most important thing in makeup. It gives you a nice glow and flushed color to your face so it is a great thing to invest in your blushes. 

 I love the colors inside this blush palette. It has matte and shimmery finish. All colors are great for everyday wear and it is really really really pigmented. 

All shades are easy to work with. Compliments variety of skin tone and it blends really well. I think this is a good palette for beginners like me. For the price of P500.00 (Philippine peso) it is quite reasonable to get 10pcs of blushes in a decent packaging and great color pay off.

CLOSER LOOK: 

Mauve shade great for darker skin tone. It is a pale lavender-lilac shade that has a pink undertone. Matte finish.

Light pink shade. Compliments lighter skin tone and this shade gives a 
natural finish. Matte finish.

It looks orange in photo but it is actually a salmon shade. Great for lighter skin tone.
Has a little shimmer but not really obvious when you apply it to your cheeks. 

Bright red-orange shade. One of my favorites in the palette. This one has a great color pay off and really compliments my skin tone. This is also great for darker skin tones. Shimmer finish.

This shade is quite similar to mauve (refer to photo #1) but it is a lot warmer and the pink undertone is much obvious. This shade is called Old rose. Has a shimmer finish.

Bright purple magenta shade. Great for darker skin tone. This can also work for pale skin but you have to be careful not to use a lot. Matte finish.

Barbie pink or Orchid shade. Compliments pale skin tone. This can be a little "ashy" look for darker tones although if pink is a lot warmer then it may work for darker tones. Has a little shimmer but not really noticeable. 

Peachy pink or Coral shade. Another favorite shade of mine. I'm actually loving bright corals/orange shade of blushes as it gives more natural flushed color to my skin tone. Shimmer finish.

Tan shade. Gives natural glow. Has a little orange undertone that is similar to apricot shade.
Has a shimmer finish but then again not noticeable.

Orange shade. May look similar to other shades in the palette but it does have a nice color pay off too. This one has a little shimmer to it. 

SWATCHES:

These are the swatches from the 1st row of the blush palette. I just barely dipped my finger tips to the blush pan and I got a pretty decent pigmentation. #4 swatch is the bright red orange shade. 

The 2nd row has has a greater pigmentation. #4 swatch is the bright purple magenta shade. 

What I like about this palette:

-affordable for 500.00(Philippine peso) + Shipping fee

-available locally (Miss Bella Cosmetics PH)

-good color pay off and transfer really well

-has matte and shimmery shades

-great variety of colors from light to brighter shades

-decent packaging not bulky

-blends easily with an angled blush brush (goats hair)

What I don't like about this palette:

-quite chalky. powdery and messy.

-staying power 2-3 hours (oily skin)

-some shades are similar to each other

-few matte colors (because i love matte shades)

Over all I think it is a good buy and good to try out. Definitely, I recommend this product to those who wanted to own a blush palette. For it's price and good color pay off it is worth the investment. If you are "long-lasting/ staying power" conscious like I am, you can definitely make this palette work for you by using make up setting spray.

Their newest collection has more gorgeous shade to choose from designed for different skin tones. Enhanced every product and make it more vivid, more vibrant color with their true color technology. See how pigmented the shades are! I barely touched each color but still it has a good color pay-off and transfer's very well. I am actually loving the Black brown shade which I use also for my brows. Definitely a must have palette in Avon's new collection! 

Ultra Color Lipstick in Hibiscus Php 379.00

The new formula also features lip-nourishing and moisturizing the lips instantly. It has Shea Butter, Omega Oil, Arctic Berry, and Vitamin E.  Also has newly improved packaging which has a clear view window so you can easily recognized the shade that you wanted to use. Available in 13 different shades and finishes; soft matte, shimmer, and satin. 

Available shades are:

What a pretty shade! Hibiscus is a bright pink shade. It can be worn for day light makeup. This is very similar to Mac Impassioned. Has a satin finish and it doesn't dry out my lips. One of the most beautiful shade in Avon's new collection! 

Honestly, I barely swatch this lipstick because I don't wanna break out its shape. But you guys can see how vivid it is. 

Ultra Glazewear Lipgloss in Pink Watermelon Php299.00

Avon says, "Reveal gorgeous glazed lips with new Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss. Glide on a burst of brilliant shine, drenched in rich color. The rich color you see in the tube is the same color you get on your lips with 6 color true shades in fabulous finishes." 

Ultra Glazewear lip-gloss has a new formula with a visible brilliant shine of rich color with Avon's True Color Technology. This lip-gloss also has Shea Butter, Omega Oil, Arctic Berry, and Vitamin E that nourish and smoothen the lips. 

Available shades are:

Tangerine Gleam, Fiery Red, Mauve Movement, Rich Raspberry, and Pink Watermelon

This shade is very pretty! The gloss is not that sticky and it does have a sweet smell. I think this is the most wearable shade out of the shades for the lip-glosses. 

Very pigmented lip-gloss that you can wear alone itself. 

Glimmersticks Lip Liner in Pink Bouquet Php149.00

This lip liner is not actually part of Avon's newest makeup collection. What's included in the collection is the Ultra Color Lip Crayon that is not available here in the Philippines. Avon says, "This jumbo-sized crayon combines the ease of a pencil with the coverage of a lipstick. Reveal the perfect pout with a full sweep of shimmery high-shine color. Infused with Vitamin E and Shea Butter for rich, creamy lip color and liner in one."

I am actually curious about this lip crayon since it says it is jumbo sized. Maybe it looks like Nyx jumbo lip pencils. How I wish these lip crayons will also be available here in our country. 

But anyways, this glimmerstick is also nice and very pigmented. Pink bouquet looks like a deep

pinkish-red color that is almost a raspberry color. This is available in 3 colors; Deep Red, Peach and Pink bouquet. I also got the deep red but I don't know where the heck it goes.

These are actually being purchased by my own money, companies or brands that are being mentioned here in my post did not pay me or anything to blog about their stuff. I went gaga shopping last month and it came out that I had a lot of clothes clutter in my basket. I have this kind of basket that I usually use for my newly bought clothes just to separate them first to my old ones before washing them out. So I figure out why not try to post a clothing haul? I bought some of these stuff last month, others are weeks ago and some are last week Friday  Yep I really went gaga shopping. Seems that I shop almost every week and I'm actually really happy finding great stuff on great deals. 

Anyways, I was in need for a good pair of peep toe heels and a very nice skinny pants. I bought great pair of pants but I wasn't able to buy heels for me, I actually found one at SM store, the brand is PARISIAN, It looks very sophisticated very chic and classy pumps but sadly it doesn't have the size for me. :( It was only for  799.00php or $18.6

I'm not really comfortable to wear super mega high heeled shoes, yea they look sexy and very chic but I'm not comfortable wearing them. So I think these pumps looks just great to me esp when worn with jeans cause I like to pair pumps with jeans plus semi formal coat = CLASSY look. If you can picture what I mean.  But sad to say these awesome pumps doesn't have any size for me, what I'm wearing is pretty small for me.
