December Haul (end of the year haul for 2011)

Hey everyone! Just a quick post for my end of the year haul.
These are the products that I've purchased this month.

SOFT MATTE LIP CREAMS and NYX ROUND SMACKING LIPSTICKS

Stockholm & Antwerp SMLC  ~Tea Rose & Orange Soda RSL
I've been loving NYX product so I keep on purchasing/collecting some of their lippies and lip creams. I think I already have 6 shades of NYX round lipstick and 4 shades of NYX soft matte lip creams which I totally looooooove! I purchase NYX products online because it's a way cheaper than buying it from the mall stores.

NYX's website states:
Neither lipstick nor lip gloss—this is matte lip cream. A new kind of pout paint that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing. Available in 11 lip colors."

STOCKHOLM is one of my favorite shade. It has a neutral nude shade and perfect for a smokey eye makeup. ANTWERP has a peachy pink shade.

Etude House Falsies & Sponges
I was supposed to get the Etude House Eye & Lip make up remover but instead of that I planned to get these stuff. The falsies cost Php98.00 approx $2.3 while the sponges cost Php60.00 approx $1.4. Such a cheapo right?

Eyes Lips & Face
Then I have these ELF goodies and a REVLON single eyeshadow in pearl for highlighting my brow bone and my inner corners. ELF waterproof pen eyeliner (totally awesome and very well pigmented for it's price) ELF mineral eyelid primer (personal favorite, I often use this as my eyelid primer compare to my UD potion and TWO FACE shadow insurance) Then the ELF elements custom face (haven't tried this one and it was given to me for free)

and that's it! Hope you enjoyed my haul! Till next <3

Newborn Care: How do I cope up with tough times with my baby.

Motherhood was never easy. From the moment you got pregnant up to the time you’ll give birth and then the time your taking care of your baby. It was never easy being a woman. But then, it feels very rewarding and magical. Yes, I love my son but after a month of post delivery stage, it was really though for me.  Depression, stress, sleep deprivation. It all makes me unreasonable, short tempered and most of all exhausted.

So to all new moms here I found some ways how to cope with such situation.

1.) I sleep whenever my little tot sleeps.  During my first 2 weeks of being a “mommy on duty” I was so distracted with my “baby chores” like washing my baby’s feeding bottles, fixing his clothes, etc.  I wanted to do it myself that I couldn't go ahead and sleep with my son. I don’t like anyone to do it for me. Why o why? Of course, I can do those things if my baby is asleep. I can be super OC at times.

2.) EAT. If you breastfed your baby you should eat a lot of healthy foods. Don’t be on diet and think that you’d be a big fat momma after giving birth. Breastfeeding will also help you be on shape so eat a lot and take vitamins. Remember, what you eat and drink goes into your milk and your baby is also getting the nutrients and vitamins your taking.

3.) Allow Visitors. Allow your friends and love ones to admire your newborn.  I always tell them to wash and sanitize first their hands before holding my baby. And if they have colds and cough, uh-oh put some masks darling! I’m a super over protective mom because a newborn immune system is not fully developed yet. Also, I allow visitors to help me with my depression being alone since my husband is always at work. A shared laugh may help lighten my mood.

4.) Get out of the house. If you're going stir-crazy with a fussy newborn, take the baby out for a walk. If you can, let someone you trust take over for a while. Go shop for your little angel!

5.) Accept a helping hand. At first, it’s like I don’t want anybody holding my baby. They might broke his bones. LOL! I know, I’m such a weirdo with that thing. But when friends and loved ones offer to help, take them up on it. Suggest holding the baby, folding the laundry, running a few errands — whatever would help you the most. And thank God I already overcome that issue. Now I can eat and take a bath even though he's awake.

My 4 weeks old son. His name is "Daniele" =)
1 month Post delivery stage. Yipeee! I'm getting into my original shape. ;)

The newborn days won't last long. Step back and appreciate the moment, even amid the chaos. I have lost my beauty routines but it’s okay. Who cares? At first few months of post delivery stage, a new mom won’t look at her best. Eh? We should be more focused taking care our newborn. No make-up routines first! Just a lil' powder and lip gloss will do! ;)

Uh-oh someone’s awake. Need to end this blog my little tot is crying. J Thanks for reading!

Stop blogging! I want milk!

Sigma Pro Eyes Kit Brushes Review

SIGMA =)
Sigma's Packaging and Sigma's Pro Brush Brochure
Sigma Pro Eyes Kit Brushes
Hey everyone! So as I promised before I’m going to have a depth review for my Sigma Pro Eyes Kit Brushes.  The kit contains 7 professional quality brushes for the eyes. Perfect to apply, shade, blend, and dust the eye with color and texture.

I really love having a lot of make up brushes to use because I’m too lazy to wash them everyday or every other day since I’m using makeup almost every time I go out, It’s kinda frustrating when you can’t use your brushes because they’re not clean!

I was thinking about buying individual brushes because what I really wanted to purchase is the E20 which is the Short Shader brush and the E50 which is the Large Fluff brush. Those brushes are not included in the eyes kit so I’m still thinking if I’m going to purchase them.

I love the fact the it has it’s brush name in addition to it’s brush code number. If you’re a beginner, the brush name tells you what the brush is for. I prefer to go by brush name than brush code numbers. Those number  doesn’t make any sense for me not unless you know the MAC’s brush numbering system.

So the brushes in this kit are the following:
E55 EYE SHADING BRUSH

E55 EYE SHADING BRUSH
Eye Shading - E55 - Soft and dense with a rounded finish. Can be used to apply pressed or loose eye shadows and pigments. Ideal to build intense color on the eyelid. Natural bristles.

E70 MEDIUM ANGLED SHADING BRUSH

E70 MEDIUM ANGLED SHADING BRUSH
Medium Angled Shading - E70 - Angled, tapered, flat top. Ideal to apply highlight shades underneath the eyebrow and on the inner corners. It can also be used for a precise application of darker shades on the crease area. Natural bristles.

E60 LARGE SHADER BRUSH

E60 LARGE SHADER BRUSH
Large Shader - E60 - Flat shape is ideal for application of cream formulas and eye shadow primers. It also works great with loose eye shadows or pigments. Can be used to apply color all over the lid or precisely on the lash line. Natural bristles.

E40 TAPERED BLENDING BRUSH

E40 TAPERED BLENDING BRUSH
Tapered Blending - E40 - Rounded and tapered top. Specially designed to apply and blend color on the crease. Natural bristles.

E30 PENCIL BRUSH

E30 PENCIL BRUSH
Pencil - E30 - Precise application of color on the crease, outer corner, and upper and lower lash line. Also ideal to smudge out pencil liner. Natural bristles.

E65 SMALL ANGLE BRUSH

E65 SMALL ANGLE BRUSH
Small Angle - E65 - Essential for the application of gel or cream eyeliner on the upper and lower lash line. This brush is also excellent for filling out the eyebrows. Synthetic bristles.

E05 EYELINER BRUSH

E05 EYELINER BRUSH

Eye Liner - E05 - An extra-fine tipped synthetic fiber brush that delivers a precise, firm, even stroke to line the eyes.

I really love the brushes. Love the price (though a bit pricey compare to other local brushes that we have but again it is really worth it investing in good brushes) Love the quality of each brush. I received my kit  3 weeks ago and I’ve done few different looks with them and I  noticed a really huge difference in the  way my makeup looked with these brushes. They are really amazing! The bristles of the brushes are super duper soft, I didn’t get any shedding when I washed them for the first time. You’ll definitely get amazing quality brushes for the price.

I also  love my free gift! It’s their best seller brush, it's the travel size E25 Blending brush. YAY! Thanks Sigma!
A FREE GIFT FOR ME! YAY!
E25 BLENDING BRUSH

So there you have it girls. Till my next review. ;)

Late post: MINI NOVEMBER HAUL!!

Hi gorgeous! Yes I’m back! Well I guess, you would want to congratulate me because I just gave birth last November 9, 2011. And guess what it’s a cute little boy. I’m so happy that it’s a successful Cesarean Section delivery.  I will definitely make a blog about that awesome yet scary experience. So watch out for that.

Well anyways, I know I’ve been a MIA in blogging this past few weeks so here I am with my super late post and it’s a Haul that I received last two weeks. I hope you like it!

Some stuff are purchased online and some are from my Sister plus I have free samples from purovel and Ellana Mineral Cosmetics. If you want to have some of their samples CLICK HERE. Just fill up the form and pay for the shipping fee, it only costs Php 50.00 and you will have sample packs of their mineral blush ons, foundations, translucent powders, concealers according to your skin tone plus Ellana Mineral Cosmetics brochure. It will just take 3-4 days before you receive your package.

Johnson's Baby Shampoo,  Vaseline Cocoa Butter Deep Conditioning Lotion and Garnier  Brightening Eye Roll On
I like to use this baby shampoo in cleaning my makeup brushes about once every week It leaves them super soft and clean, and takes out all of the product which is great. I also love the smell of this shampoo. I'm currently using the vaseline cocoa butter deep conditioning lotion for my "stretches" due of pregnancy. Well I can say it works pretty well because it reduce the appearance of my stretch marks and I love the sweet cocoa butter smell! Since I'm officially a mom today and I have to stay up late playing and feeding my newly born son, I'm prone to have dark circles under my eyes so I'm using Garnier Light Brightening Eye roll on.

Ellana Mineral Cosmetics sample packs and Purovel
These are the products I received from Ellana Mineral Cosmetics and Purovel Spa. They included sample packs of REVIVE concealer (color corrector peach), CINNAMON perfect blend foundation (warm/olive), ALMOND COFFEE CREAM (cool beige with sheer finish), ALMOND LATTE foundation (cool/medium light) and  FLIRTATION blush on (bright strawberry pink blush) plus a free brochure.

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream in #23 and Missha Fruits Mix Sheet Mask  in Berry Juice
Korea's Top BB Cream brand. It's now available in the Philippines! I've purchased the 50ml bottle in #23 and I believe they've come up with new shades #27 and #31. You can check MISSHA PHILIPPINES for other available products. I've also tried Super Plus BB cream Skin79 Hot Pink but a lot of people say Missha M has great coverage compare to Super Plus. Missha M has great raved reviews and so I give it a try. I will make a separate blog to give this product a depth review.
SIGMA BEAUTY Professional Eye Kit brushes
YEY! New set of brushes for me! Still waiting for my synthetic kit and face kit from SIGMA. Again, I will do a separate blog for this lovely brushes!

REVIEW: Charm Luxe Flat Top Kabuki Brush!

I have  this brush a couple of months ago and I’ve decided to give it a review since I’m using it everyday. After reading all the rave reviews about CHARM BRUSHES, I’m looking for a flat top brush that time, CHARM LUXE FLAT TOP KABUKI BRUSH caught my attention.

BH Cosmetics 28 Color Neutral Palette Review

Hello there my lovely readers! Okay, as I promised before I’m going to share you my review about this product that I received over a month ago. So I’ve been playing with this for a month and now I can totally share with you guys my own opinion about this palette.

I know that you’ve already read a lot of reviews about this palette many times.  But I wanted to share my own side too. *wink* So if you're interested to know my side just keep on reading.

The packaging
The Ingredients it has
This palette consist of 28 neutral colors which are useful for everyday wearing. I’m quite in-love with this palette because I’m a great fan of neutral colors and I live on neutrals. It has a wide range of browns, mauve's, a highlighter and a black . I do hope it has more taupe colors in it because I find taupe's more interesting in neutrals.

About the pigmentation of the colors, most of them are decently pigmented but again you cannot compare apples into oranges so don’t expect MAC/ SLEEK/ BEN NYE/ URBAN DECAY/ SIGMA kind of pigmentation and texture. Comparing the BH palette to those kind of eyeshadow palette, BH is a lot less pigmented and has a hard chalky texture which the part that I don’t like because I find some colors in the palette irritating in the eyes. The range of the colors has “matte” “satin” and “shimmer frost” finish.  For me, the best pigmentation in this palette are the shimmery colors while the less pigmentation are the matte colors.

The range of the colors has MATTE, SATIN and SHIMMER FROST finish

PROS:
-Inexpensive (great for those on a budget) it will just cost you a thousand peso.
            -great neutral shades
            -great palette for beginners
-has matte, shimmery and satin colors

CONS:
-not available in the Phil. (you have order it online at www.bhcosmetics.com)
-some colors feel a bit hard and chalky and less pigmented
-matte shadows has the worst pigmentation

OVER ALL RATING: 3/5

TIP: If you wanna make this palette works for you, all you have to do is use a good eyelid primer to intensify the colors to make them pop out on your lid. And play with those eyeliners or  any kind of gel liners with this. Also, use a great brush in applying these colors because behind a great eyeshadow makeup is a pretty good brush. ;)

So there you go girls. Hope this review helped you. Till next!

Oh boy it's a boy! The Baby Shower Experience: WELCOME DANIELE!

Baby Shower Invitation

Sunday, October 23 2011, 3pm. It was a bright and sunny day. A perfect day to celebrate my baby shower.  To welcome my dearest “FRANCIS DANIELE”. Excited to see my little ho-ho. Through this party i was able to see how time flies. A bit nervous for the labor pain but sooooooooooo excited to see and carry him and I know all the pain will be worth it in the end.

I’d like to thank the people behind this event. For making this possible to happen. My mom, Mama Anita, who cooked for me, My mom-in-law, Mama Lily, who organized everything and my sister-in-law, Ate Bing, for sharing her expertise in cooking. I'd also like to thank my family who came and to my husband’s relatives who shared this moment with us and of course to my dear friends. Again Thank you guys!

Never had a baby shower before (of course it’s my first baby) and I can say  t’was an awesome experience!  Though not everyone came to celebrate with us but still I had fun. I had fun chitchatting with my friends. We love to prattle! LOL! It’s actually a long time since the last time we met.  Well to tell you honestly, I’m a bit disappointed in the end of the day because “SOME” people are so annoying that day. I don’t like my day to be ruined though. Perhaps, it should be a special day because it's for my baby Daniele, not for me, not for anybody but for my dear son. GOOD VIBES!
My college lovies! (L-R) April, Venz, Me, Justine and Papa Ramje. Where's Katchie?

Hubby and I with the gifts!

Anyways, for you guys to know what did just happened that day. Well everyone enjoyed the delicious pica-pica foods we've prepared. We have everybody’s all time favorite spaghetti with chicken lollipops, ham and cheese sandwich, Amber’s best seller pichi-pichi and palabok, shanghai rolls, BIKO (a sticky rice cake topped with latik (curdled coconut cream), hotdog and cheese on stick, refreshing GULAMAN and some snacks. Yummmyy Merienda!!!  My brother also bought me a Black Forest Cake with Cathedral GelatinThanks for the yummy treat brotha! Well it’s actually not for me, it’s for Daniele but since he can’t eat that, I am willing to do the favor for him. ;) (Laughs!)

Cathedral Gelatin and Black Forest Cake from Goldilocks. Thanks Bro!

Is my bubba ready for the yummy treat? :p

Kidding aside, We’re supposed to have games that day. Ate Anne and Ate Ellen prepared some to make the party exciting but unfortunately, sad to say, we don’t have the chance to do it. I will not mention here why. It will just make me mad and sad at the same time. Grrrrr!

They even checked the net for the baby shower games  :( *sigh

Just like the usual baby shower party, we also have “open the gifts” aught. I loooooove opening the gifts it was really exciting and fun! Who doesn't like that right? Thanks for the awesome gifts everyone and for the cold cash. hihihi! Daniele’s such a rich and spoiled bubba now! LOL! *wink

Thank you everyone! :)

Hubby and I opening the gifts! YAY! What's inside the box? hmmm! ;p

And here they are. Again thank you everyone!
Thank you Tito Toto and Tita Bibeth for the GRACO stroller. :)

Thanks to my Uncle Rod for the hundred bucks! :) Also to Tita Bebe, Ate anne and Ate Ellen

All for Daniele!!!!

Thank you everyone. You guys don't know how happy and glad I am that day. I can see how excited everyone is and so am I. Now, I’m just waiting for him. Enjoying the last month having him inside me. Just a few more weeks or days “Hello baby and goodbye sleep!” (Laughs)
The moment he arrived, it’ll be a new story being a mom for me.

SEE YOU REAL SOON DANIELE!

♥,
Mommy

XoXo,

Anne
