Product Review: L'Oreal TRUE MATCH LUMI FOUNDATION MAKEUP

L'OREAL PARIS TRUE MATCH LUMI
 HEALTHY LUMINOUS MAKEUP

Hi everyone! Back for a product review again. This time I'm going to share a review about L'oreal True Match Lumi foundation makeup in the shade of Shell Beige. If you read about my last haul from Supersale Bazaar you'd know where I got this foundation from. If not CLICK HERE.

So, I just recently got this foundation and I totally fell in love with it! I use it almost everyday at work. I always try things maybe in a week or two before I make a review about them. Just to be sure if it is worth every penny and how my skin reacts to the product because sometimes the first and second try can be a little bit tricky.

This foundation is actually the "true match" color of my skin tone. Shell Beige is a cool tone foundation that has a little beige-y color, and has a little bit yellow undertone. This foundation has wide range of shades to choose
from. It is not actually hard to choose which shade is for you, you just have to base it from your MAC's skin-tone shade. True Match Lumi has 3 foundation shade category. They have the Warm, Cool and Neutral shades. Shell beige is C4 which means it is under the cool tone shades. It is close to NC35 Studio fix fluid foundation of MAC, But I actually use NC30 more often since I prefer a tone lighter than my skin tone because I am acidic and foundation tends to oxidize when I use them so to balance it out I need to use a tone lighter than my usual skin-tone. So, Shell Beige is not actually the perfect color match since I need a tone lighter so to make this work out for me I mix it with my Revlon Colorstay foundation in shade buff which is a really light color and it actually works amazing on me. You just really need to look for ways how to make things work  for you.

I've actually tried using this "Lumi foundation" alone but at the end of the day it looks pretty dark on me because it oxidize. Maybe I should try to buy the lighter shade of this foundation to mix them both and work things out. I actually got this from Chedelyn's Cosmetics last Supersale Bazaar. It cost me 500.00php or $12.

It is actually a nice foundation. Wallet-friendly compare to other high end brand foundations. I remember the Neutrogena Healthy Skin makeup and the Nars sheer glow foundation, the three of them has the same finish. Dewy, light weight and a little "runny" consistency foundation. But I like the Lumi more than the two. I love the finish, the coverage is light, buildable to light-medium with an additional layer of the foundation. The packaging is also a great plus! It has a pump so you wouldn't have any messy foundation bottle. I love my Revlon Colorstay but the packaging is really awful same with the Mac Studio Fix Fluid - you can get a pump but with extra charge.

I will continue using this foundation as it actually works on me but I  will try to mix this with my other foundations to add a little bit more coverage and to balance the shade of this foundation since it appears dark after hours of application. I think this foundation is better on dry skin since the consistency of the product is moisturizing that it might have a little slip for oily skin but it depends on how you prep or prime your face before applying liquid
foundations.

I will show you a photo of my before and after application of the L'Oreal True Match Lumi Makeup Foundation.

For prepping my face I use Nivea Visage Sparking pore minimizing facial foam cleanser. Then, I use my forever favorite toner Nivea Aqua Effect - Mattifying Toner for combination skin and then moisturize my face with Olay natural white fairness cream.

I just used the 3 products mentioned above for my before photo. As you can see, I have acne scars on my cheeks, redness around my nose, dark under-eye circles and I am still breaking out on some parts of my face. So no jokes, I don't have that flawless skin. But my makeup does the great job for that problem. Thanks to them! LOL!

Used a little makeup for this photo.

COSMETICS HAUL at Supersale Bazaar!

Hi guys! Just want to share with you my Supersale Bazaar haul that I got from Chedelyn's Cosmetics booth yesterday. It was raining hard yesterday but that weather can't stop me going to supersale bazaar. Supersale bazaar was located at WORLD TRADE CENTER, Pasay City, Philippines, from 12-14 of July 2013 (Friday-Sunday event) Ticket price was Php 100.00 ($2.33)

When I was inside the center, I hurriedly look for Chedelyn's booth since it was the only and the main reason why I'm there. I didn't have the chance to look for other stuff  from the booths inside the center because I am on a hurry and I need to be home as soon as possible because I still need to look after my son. (You know! Mommy duties!)

INSIDE CHEDELYN'S COSMETICS BOOTH

INSIDE CHEDELYN'S COSMETICS BOOTH

Some of the products are not available here in the Philippines but everything is guaranteed and 100% authentic from U.S. I am so excited as I look every product inside the booth. I wasn't available to take more pictures inside the booth because "sobrang daming tao!" Everybody went gaga after Chedelyn's products. I even met some makeupjunkie's there who bought 50 pieces Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. (Whaaaaaaaaaaat?) REVIEW: BENEFIT HERVANA BLUSH BOX

Hey guys! back for a review again. I have so many cool stuff to review so watch out for that. This time I'm going to share my own thoughts about the BENEFIT BLUSH BOX in HERVANA. You may find a lot of reviews about this awesome blush but I just wanna share my own side about this product that has a lot of good reviews about it. Let's see if it is worth every penny.

I am so obsessed with my CORALISTA blush from Benefit. The one and only blush box that I own from them aside from my Benefit HOOLA bronzer which is absolutely my holy grail and my forever favorite contouring powder. I got amazed with the new Benefit blush which is the HERVANA because it looks so gorgeous and it has a lot of rave reviews about it, this has been launched since last year and I've been eyeing for this blush since it came out in the market. Finally after ages, I already have it! YAY!

This is being introduced in the Philippines Benefit Stores for Php1600.00 each blush box. US price is $28 or Php1176.00 at Macy's store. I got mine from Macy's, I think two weeks ago and they have this 50% off sale during that time, it was around second week of May, so I got my new HERVANA and HOOLA both 50% off which $14 each box or Php600.00 each exclusive of the shipping fee. I ordered this online through an Instragram Online shop "Everythingisauthentic" and gladly they can carry any products from Macys' so I pre-ordered my benefit boxes from them. Thanks a lot dear!

I am extremely happy with my purchase! Imagine how much I save from Php1600.00 original price here in the
Philippines compared to Php600.00 pre-ordered from Macy's. YAY!!

I have been using the Hervana blush almost everyday at work and I am soooooooo inlove!

This powder blush is a pinwheel of four gorgeous shades: lucky shell (cream color) , divine peach (peachy orange color), heavenly rose(pink color) and berry delight (light violet or berry color), that combines together into one gorgeous matte light pink color. The packaging is a very nice hard box with a mirror in it. Like all benefit blush box, it has a blush brush inside and you'll a 8.0 g or 0.28 oz of product. This would definitely last for a very long time if you'll not going to use it on a daily basis.

I also love my CORALISTA from Benefit but this HERVANA blush is a very gorgeous light pink color that works amazing for medium to light skin. CORALISTA is a coral or peachy pink blush that has a little shimmer on it, HERVANA is a pink blush that is matte finish. I love the fact that this blush is matte. It flatters my skin tone perfectly! And I also want to share that this blush has an amazing smell! It smells so sweet!! I actually smell it first before I start to put it into my cheeks. Overall I love this blush and I definitely recommend this product! Rated this blush 5/5.

CORALISTA and HERVANA

You may find it expensive but it is worth the investment for beauty junkies out there!

So, what do you think about Hervana? xx

PRODUCT REVIEW: "REAL TECHNIQUES BRUSHES"

Hey everyone! It's been a very long time since my last post. I apologize for not updating my blog since last year been busy with my little one and my job. Anyhoo, I'm freakkkiinnnnn' back! I seriously miss blogging and sharing cool and fun stuff with you guys. So to start of, I have an awesome review for you today.

I purchased two (2) real techniques brushes, I think almost a week or two ago. I have the 1.) Expert Face Brush and the 2.) Stippling Brush. Bought those two awesome brushes from an online shop from Instagram. Bought it for Php 500.00 or $11.65 each! Really cheap compared to other online shops who sell it for Php750.00 or $17.48 each. If you guys are interested to buy some just comment down below and I'll provide the link of the
online shop or you can just search it from the Instagram "Sassyfabshop". Okay so let's proceed with the review.

I am really into makeup brushes. For me, I'd rather pay for the quality since it will give the best makeup finish because for me "Behind a great makeup is a great hand with the perfect brush." Real Techniques has been known for it's good quality and cheaper price compared to other makeup brushes like Mac, Sigma and Bobbi Brown.

I am totally in-love with these two brushes! Really soft and it really gives that flawless makeup finish. Hence, I am expecting more from the Expert face brush to be really good in buffing foundations but I found out that the brush is too small for applying foundation. It is denser enough to help you buff your foundation but you will take some time to finish your entire face to do it. So, I'm not really using it for foundations, I'm actually using it for contouring my face. The shape of the Expert face brush is perfect for contouring your cheek bones, jaw lines and your temples. You just have to dab the contouring powder very lightly since this brush tends to get a lot of product because it is super dense. Cream type product is the best for this kind of brush like the Chanel bronze universel. I'm gonna look for something else to make this brush work out for me, rate this brush for 3/5.

This is my favorite purchase! I love how  the synthetic bristles of the brush being tack as a stippling brush. I use this for applying liquid foundation or sometimes cream blushers. You will have that "airbrushed finish look" with this brush. Although this is not my favorite foundation brush (it is still the round kabuki or the flat top kabuki brush) because with this kind of brush, you are not actually buffing the foundation into your skin, you are just stippling it on top of your skin (if that makes any-sense.) But I will rate this brush 4/5 because I love how it works for me although it has some shedding issues.

Here's a closer look of the brushes! (Left: Stippling brush Right: Expert Face brush)

Maybe I will try the Powder brush and the Setting brush next time. Not actually a fan of their "core or starter" set collection, I find out that some of the brush in the collection is not really helpful.

What do you think about real techniques brushes? What brushes you own from the brand? Let me know and comment down below. Till my next review girls
