PRODUCT REVIEW: "REAL TECHNIQUES BRUSHES"

Hey everyone! It's been a very long time since my last post. I apologize for not updating my blog since last year been busy with my little one and my job. Anyhoo, I'm freakkkiinnnnn' back! I seriously miss blogging and sharing cool and fun stuff with you guys. So to start of, I have an awesome review for you today.

I purchased two (2) real techniques brushes, I think almost a week or two ago. I have the 1.) Expert Face Brush and the 2.) Stippling Brush. Bought those two awesome brushes from an online shop from Instagram. Bought it for Php 500.00 or $11.65 each! Really cheap compared to other online shops who sell it for Php750.00 or $17.48 each. online shop or you can just search it from the Instagram "Sassyfabshop". Okay so let's proceed with the review.

I am really into makeup brushes. For me, I'd rather pay for the quality since it will give the best makeup finish because for me "Behind a great makeup is a great hand with the perfect brush." Real Techniques has been known for it's good quality and cheaper price compared to other makeup brushes like Mac, Sigma and Bobbi Brown.

I am totally in-love with these two brushes! Really soft and it really gives that flawless makeup finish. Hence, I am expecting more from the Expert face brush to be really good in buffing foundations but I found out that the brush is too small for applying foundation. It is denser enough to help you buff your foundation but you will take some time to finish your entire face to do it. So, I'm not really using it for foundations, I'm actually using it for contouring my face. The shape of the Expert face brush is perfect for contouring your cheek bones, jaw lines and your temples. You just have to dab the contouring powder very lightly since this brush tends to get a lot of product because it is super dense. Cream type product is the best for this kind of brush like the Chanel bronze universel. I'm gonna look for something else to make this brush work out for me, rate this brush for 3/5.

This is my favorite purchase! I love how  the synthetic bristles of the brush being tack as a stippling brush. I use this for applying liquid foundation or sometimes cream blushers. You will have that "airbrushed finish look" with this brush. Although this is not my favorite foundation brush (it is still the round kabuki or the flat top kabuki brush) because with this kind of brush, you are not actually buffing the foundation into your skin, you are just stippling it on top of your skin (if that makes any-sense.) But I will rate this brush 4/5 because I love how it works for me although it has some shedding issues.

Maybe I will try the Powder brush and the Setting brush next time. Not actually a fan of their "core or starter" set collection, I find out that some of the brush in the collection is not really helpful.

Hey everyone! So as I promised before I’m going to have a depth review for my Sigma Pro Eyes Kit Brushes.  The kit contains 7 professional quality brushes for the eyes. Perfect to apply, shade, blend, and dust the eye with color and texture.

I really love having a lot of make up brushes to use because I’m too lazy to wash them everyday or every other day since I’m using makeup almost every time I go out, It’s kinda frustrating when you can’t use your brushes because they’re not clean!

I was thinking about buying individual brushes because what I really wanted to purchase is the E20 which is the Short Shader brush and the E50 which is the Large Fluff brush. Those brushes are not included in the eyes kit so I’m still thinking if I’m going to purchase them.

I love the fact the it has it’s brush name in addition to it’s brush code number. If you’re a beginner, the brush name tells you what the brush is for. I prefer to go by brush name than brush code numbers. Those number  doesn’t make any sense for me not unless you know the MAC’s brush numbering system.

So the brushes in this kit are the following:

I really love the brushes. Love the price (though a bit pricey compare to other local brushes that we have but again it is really worth it investing in good brushes) Love the quality of each brush. I received my kit  3 weeks ago and I’ve done few different looks with them and I  noticed a really huge difference in the  way my makeup looked with these brushes. They are really amazing! The bristles of the brushes are super duper soft, I didn’t get any shedding when I washed them for the first time. You’ll definitely get amazing quality brushes for the price.

I also  love my free gift! It’s their best seller brush, it's the travel size E25 Blending brush. YAY! Thanks Sigma!

I have  this brush a couple of months ago and I’ve decided to give it a review since I’m using it everyday. After reading all the rave reviews about CHARM BRUSHES, I’m looking for a flat top brush that time, CHARM LUXE FLAT TOP KABUKI BRUSH caught my attention.

As you noticed, the quality of the hair is super duper soft and perfectly dense. The synthetic bristles are closely- packed that makes your foundation or even your  mineral powder buffs into your face and it blends evenly. It also gives the airbrush finish. What I really love about this brush,  it was extremely versatile you can actually  use it with your cream foundations, liquid foundations, mineral powders, BB creams, cream blush on and even applying face primers.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
                -NOTHING AT ALL! Seriously! I love this brush so much and I use it everyday. :)

Mini Haul: Milani, Charm, EOS all from DIGITAL TRAINCASE; Elianto eyeshadows and SAVVY blush brush set from SUESH

I really wanted to go to Phil Cosmetics Expo this Friday morning at  SM Megamall. To spot digital traincase and dollface at the said event, but unfortunately, I don’t have someone to go with. L My hubby is pretty busy with his work. So I decided to shop online. And I’ve come up ordering these products.  YEY! I already received them this afternoon(Saturday) so I made up my first ever HAUL!

Charm Luxe: Flat top Kabuki Brush

After reading great reviews about this brush I planned to purchase one since I don’t have any flat top brush to apply my foundation. And yes! Beauty & Minerals Charm brushes are sooooo amazing! Bought this brush from Digital Traincase for only Php600.00. Not bad for a very nice flat top brush! It was my first flat top brush and I’m soooooooo loving it baby! I have no regrets buying this brush. Aside from being affordable, the bristle quality is super duper soft and it gives an air-brush finished in applying your foundation (the part that I actually liked) and also it is easy to hold because of it’s long and thick handle, Plus it’s PINK! ♥♥

Liquif’EYE Metallic Eyeliner Pencil in Black

 I’ve been watching xteener’s make-up tutorials since then. I love her videos! And I found out that she is using this eyeliner in one of her make-up tutorials and it really looks good.

Plus she also made a great review about this eyeliner which made me think to give it a try! Well girls, if you have greasy eyelids this product may not work for you because it is really a smudge-a-mania eyeliner pencil which is best for smokey eye look.  It is so creamy and it is very pigmented you can actually use it as an eyeshadow. I think this eyeliner will work even better when you apply your eyelid primer or any eyeshadow base or cream before applying the liner. Though it is said that is it a metallic eyeliner pencil for me it doesn’t look like a metallic one. I really don’t like having that shimmery effect in my eyeliners. But when I watched xteeners video and review it made me realized that it is not actually a metallic liner. I’ve tried nyx eyeliner pencil in black but for me this works really well compare to nyx.  And yea it’s a bit pricey compare to nyx, this eyeliner costs me Php350.00 and I love it! ♥♥

EOS Lipbalm: in summer fruit

Aside from the cute packaging and being so handy, I have this remedy of having chapped lips. And It doesn’t look good when you apply your lipgloss, lipcream or lipstick with that kind of lips. YAY! So I decide to buy a good lipbalm. Before I made my mind to give this a try,  I’ve search reviews about this lipbalm and a lot of it was saying “it’s a must have in your kit” And gladly, I  purchased one because it is really amazing. I love the scent, it has this fruity and refreshing scent and it actually smells like skittles! YUMMY! I don’t want to eat my lipbalm though. LOL! And it has shea butter and vitamin E that really gives the moisture in your lips. I will definitely buy one again. Next in my list is the EOS lipblam in honeysuckle honeydew. I lovooooe it  baby! ♥♥

ELIANTO Colour Studio Eyeshadow: in Lilac and Hot Pink

What I love about these eyeshadows: they’re soooo pigmented. My friend bought this from Bangkok and she gave it to me as her “pasalubong” Thanks Margaux! Love the eyeshadows babe! Plus she also gave me a Roxy ID lace. Lovely! J This eyeshadow gives a refined , smooth, fresh look and it is long lasting throughout the day. It has an excellent smooth texture and it is blendable with other palettes. I definitely have to buy Elianto refill palettes for these lovely eyeshadows. ♥♥

Well about this brush set, other than being affordable it has 6 brush heads in 3pc handles.  Inclusion of Powder brush, Angled Blush/ Contour brush, Foundation brush, Small Concealer brush, Large Eyeshadow brush, Angled Contour Eyeshadow brush and It comes in a clear pouch.For me it is not a must have brush set, it was a sort of “OK” type brush set. I love the foundation brush in this set also the small concealer brush it really helps me a lot in applying my foundation and concealer.  Since it is made of synthetic hairs it was easy to apply liquid foundation and cream concealers with those brushes. The powder and angled contour/blush brush has soft bristles of hairs but sometimes hairs fall out easily (which I expect because it is a low end brush set) The eyeshadow brushes gives me an “itchy” feeling whenever i ‘m applying my eyeshadow.  But so far, it works well for me. ♥♥
